get over it, grow up, and deal with it. If you don't like it, you can always sell it.
So when I complain about a company not delivering what they promised I'm immature? Brilliant logic there.

Again and again, people hide behind the anonymity of the internet in order to aimlessly stir people up ...

Yes, we can't criticise because the mods will lock it. Never mind that Alesis screwed us over and lied to us. Never mind the missing features that were promised to us. Alesis is a terrible company that cannot be trusted.

Alesis not shafting customers? Obviously that's a lie or an April Fools.

Funnily enough I rang Alesis up shortly after I posted to complain about the service - they phoned up Cimple Solutions (who repair out of warranty Alesis products) and, magically, my keyboard was fixed. Not only that but "apparently" they didn't need to replace the screen in the end and so they ...

This is ridiculous - my keyboard has been away for over 4½ weeks and they're still giving me excuses. What they've said is that apparently the power distribution to the screen and a whole lot of other components went - the parts were so badly gone they couldn't even work out what they were supposed ...

When did I read your comment and your signature I was soooooo happy about to have decided for the Alesis Fusion 8HD instead of the Korg TR76
The Fusion 8HD easily beats the TR76 in editability and sound quality for some of the samples (the piano, EPs, synths, etc) and the weighted keys makes a big ...

Well, basically you can't go and grab multi-gigabyte samples and expect them to work as they are. All samples should work but, unless they're smaller than 64MB (or 192MB with the upgrade) then you'll need to compress them (usually by limiting the number of keys sampled and using loop points).

So ...

Yeah, I understand. My Fusion has been in for repair for the past two weeks and, despite it's problems, it is one hell of a keyboard and I miss being able to play it. The sounds I'd created for it (just tweaked samples) were incredibly distinctive and most gigs I play people comment on how good it ...

Well, it was out of warranty so I went through the company that Alesis recommended (ringing around apparently no-one else can actually do it). It's taken them 1½ weeks for them to get around to it and I've been informed it will cost nearly £300... that's 1/3 of the cost of it new!

:(

As much as I ...

Re: most things should be corrent

The reason I'm more sure it is the file system is because I was trying to use the delete function on these soundfonts that I converted and moved over
Soundfonts can cause a whole world of trouble on the Fusion - I know I ended up formatting and starting from scratch after messing about with them ...

I too am unconfident about using the Fusion live... that is why I now always take a backup keyboard. I love the sounds of it but I don't trust it. Mine's currently in for repair after the backlight on the screen went - hopefully I should have it back before too long.

It's really a shame because the ...

Got my old fusion back, finally! They soldered a CF slot on the mainboard, so now the card goes in with the label down. Guess what: it doesn't work.. The compact flash reader is still broken so in exchange for the 3 months it's been away, I get to trade mine with a new one with the full RAM ...

I figured as much. Well, I've emailed Alesis and I'll see what happens - I'll post back in the future with my experience.

I'll email Alesis to confirm and to find out about the procedure for repairs. This is exactly the reason I keep a spare keyboard at hand, as I was never completely confident about gigging with the Fusion (even though sonically and feature-wise it's the best keyboard I have). Hopefully it's only a ...

Problems with LCD screen.

I turned on my Fusion 8HD today and couldn't see anything, so I reached for the power switch again - it turned off. I thought this was strange so I booted it up again and played with the contrast knob but even on full it is barely visible. It looks to me like the blacklight has gone but could it be ...
