Fusion sequencer recording from external midi controllers successful

Being lazy-I have looked through posts-can find out quickly enough by doing-will the Fusion sequencer record external midi controllers to its internal sequencer? Looks like it will-have the WX Yamaha wind controllers and a Malletkat-

Appending my own post. The Fusion's recorder will record from external controllers. Recorded a short passage with a Yamaha WX7 into a song track-and discovered why I did not get this to work at first. When I created a new song-the mixer levels defaulted to zero and when I played the WX-I heard the track because the WX was controlling the volume level as I played dynamically, but because the mixer level was set to zero-it automatically zeroed the level back again when I stopped playing the WX, so I heard nothing. Have to remember-seems that the mixer levels default to zero when setting up a new song template. This is really handy-recorded straight to an audio track also-with the jumpered patch cord recording my midi track recording directly into an audio track while I played it, very nice! Think I can start selling a few of my digital decks, save what I need for external/additional mic and guitar inputs. I was hoping a 'board like this could help me consolidate some of my recording decks.
