does the knobs transmit midi?

Post by salrip »

Hello all.

I have a fusion as a masterkeyboard and would like to use the knobs to control plugin parameters, but I can't get it to work. Does the knobs not transmit midi? Or do I have to activate it somewhere? I use ableton live and click on the midibutton and then for example cutoff on a plugin and then I move the knobs but no midi information is recieved. The connection is alright as both the keyboard and my expression pedal connected to the Fusion transmits midi and I'm able to map the expression pedal to different parameters.

thanks in advance

Hello salrip, press the global button on your Fusion and look at the midi settings, also check the fusion reference manual, if you do not have one you can download it from Alesis Web site http://67.192.162.144/fusion8hd

Thanks for your reply. I have been looking through the midi settings and the manual but I can't find anything that help me. Only things about the knobs is to set the cc- number but midi learn in ableton should recognize midi input from them and it doesn't.

Be sure to use the fusion in Program mode if you wnt to use the knobs, it does not work otherwise.
