Hi there,

then project is temporary stopped due to some changes in my life: I've started living with my girl, had to look for a new home, etc. and the company I work for is moving to another city (Madrid) so we have to start over again :-(

I hope to be able to continue the project in a month or so. Please be patient :-)

Cheers,

JaM

hi Maestropiero,

When I read this I read my dream :
Well... the end goal actually is a full editor/librarian/organizer/conversor/whatever :

-Libraries sorting
-Lbraries or internal HD searching
-Database creating (with files, descriptions...)
-Conversion to *and* from Fusion (Akai, E-mu, Yamaha, mp3, wav....)
-Safe file copying, moving, renaming... with automatic reference checking (if you normally rename a program, you could break a Mix that is using that program, etc.)
-DX7 Synth patches conversion
-Batch operations

Furthermore, the API (application programming interface) could be easily used by other developers to extend the application with new features, or to create different programs related to Fusion.
So, I wonder, have You finaly stopped ? Do the functions : change bank name in prog, multisample work ?
I am very interested in the subject. I am ok with java. If You stopped I would be interested in continuing the project.

I emailed Maestropiero to see what the scoop was on this project, he is still working on it, but does not have as much free time as before.

Hope we hear some good news from him in the not to distant future. :)

Maestropiero, let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

Hey, good to hear from you Jose,

(Thanks, Jesse for following up . . . .)

Last time I checked, Jose, there are 1740 members registered to FusionZone and about the same in the Fusion Club (I would think, most are members of both!)- and I wouldn't be suprised if they ALL own a Fusion.

We are the lucky ones who found out its potential, in time . . . . .

We all wish you much happiness in your new family life, and appreciate that the Alliance HD project will arrive as and when you have the time to spend on it.

Family MUST come first.

Be assured that we are ALL grateful for your continued work on this project . . .

Very Best Wishes

That's all things I even know from somewhere... (sry if my english lacks).
Last 2 years where really exciting, I'm now married and after moving to the south-west of Germany I'm now back to Dresden again and I'm so happy with it.
All this things used a lot of time – also the new job I got more than 2 years ago.
Mastropiero wrote:BTW... Do Fusion users still exist? It's amazing! I thought I was the last one ;-)
No, you're not! I'll tell you a small story:
Last months I had a bit trouble with my Fusion (the PSU....), maybe one or two of you could read it in the Facebook group "Alesis Fusion Owners". So I thought of selling it and buying a Kurzweil PC3 series model. But in the end, I testet the PC3k8 intensive and decided to keep the Alesis Fusion.
Sure, the possibilities of the KURZ are really great, but I've done so much things with my Fusion. There was NOTHING on the KURZ, what really could have blown me away (and I don't want to talk about the boot time of the KURZ...).
When I got my Fusion back from repair I just listened aa lot of converted Proteus X samples again (they're loading very fast! :)), presets and self-made sounds...for some more than 2 hours. Then I decided to keep the money for my DIY workstation project (https://www.facebook.com/pages/DIY-synt ... 8028358308) and keep the Fusion for the next years.

You know Akai has the the Fusion PSU for $98 if you need one it's the same as the MPC 5000

Thx for your hint. The PSU is now replaced and the changed it (including shipping to and from Alesis/Numark) for ~168€. Material costs where only 50€...so, I think that's cheap enough.

Good news I emailed Matropiero today to see if he would continue his Fusion project?

He replied " The project is not discontinued... I'm still working on it (slowly, though).

;-) "
