Very nice! 1 page-the entire Fusion's file structure on one page, definitely very useful. Did you create this Jesse?
PS-still working on the mainboard issue-Parametric is helping me try to get this done-I've requested another mainboard-described the malfunctions of the one they sent-in detail, I just installed it in my working Fusion 8HD, same defects. The tech at Inmusic has said Alesis is willing to send me another board-i also intuited that the invalid serial key probably has nothing to do with the functions of the Fusion-as every other function is working perfectly-recording, playing mixes, programs, demo songs-all menus, effects, balances-everything I've run it through is working-just the defective CF card slot-a big problem-and the 8 dead keys-an even bigger problem. I'll keep pushing for the solution. Sorry off topic, thought you might like to know.

Yes, I made this file and the one about deleting files on the Fusion.
I just updated both files with some additional information
Glad they are replacing the Main PCB, hope the new one works like it's supposed to.

That is GOOD to know.

I'm still somewhat concerned that InMusic seem unaware of the S/No. Registration problem (as they don't mention it?)
You CANNOT do this yourself, as you don't have the required Lead-arrangement (described in the SM) OR the "Key"
Add to that, you need to SCAN the S/No. IN from the Box, because -
AFAIK - there is NO facility to input numbers and letters from the Fusion's Keypad.
I would suggest that you need to contact them again and send them a
good photo of the Box Label - so they can Scan the S/No.
from it . . . . . THEN, you will receive the board already registered to YOUR Fusion, ready to go . . . . .
It's a real PITA, but InMusic SHOULD know all about this . . . . .

Chris-they know-my newest email to them made that clear. I need a specific "barcode scanner" designed specifically for the Fusion-which scans the barcode on my Fusion underneath-i have a mainboard serial number-but I can only guess from reading the service manual-it needs the barcode underneath the Fusion (!). I have to wait until Monday to see if Mike at InMusic gets back to me. I also made it clear-2nd time-it makes no sense that everything else on my Fusion works perfectly-except the CF card slot and the dead keys-a defect I've seen on other keyboards-and definitely has to do with the mainboard, which i also made clear. I found a blog-from a supposed former Alesis technician who has a web design company now (we all have to make a living I guess, the difference between a drummer/guitarist/keyboard player/ etc. and a pizza-a pizza can...well you know the rest) but had some interesting information about the Alesis QS series which he described as something he helped develop-found him on the "Frugal Noodle" whatever that is i am trying to contact him through email in the hope he may know something to help-can't seem to post on his blog-maybe something with my browser. I didn't see a direct contact to him except for comments on his blog. He describes being with Alesis as early as 2002-I am hoping he may have been involved with the Fusions, I've subsribed to his blog.
Ultimately-I'd like to be able to 1) have a resource who could actually restore/repair these boards-in this day and age, there is equipment and techs that can do SMD replacement, signal tracing and even decompiling/reading embedded software in IC's and 2) somehow eliminating the invalid serial number problem. It is beyond belief Alesis would create this system, and then completely abandoned any means of working through this-requiring specialized equipment and techs to solve this problem-and then eliminating all of that. WTF I think would be my best way of describing this. or FOOBAR which stands for F****D UP BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION, although there is an even more foul definition I can't post here.....

I couldn't agree more . . . . . it's Bizarre . . . . .
Did they REALLY think that Fusions would only EVER be build at the Factory?
Perhaps they'll offer to send a Security Van round with two HEAVIES to accompany the sacred KEY - so you don't purloin it?
Ridiculous.
I think the other word you were looking for to describe Alesis was SNAFU?
Hope you get good news . . . .

Or as one of my friends used to say-same sh**, different day. Especially with this pandemic, i am one shy of a full deck if this doesn't end soon. Just starting to give essential workers shots here in the US-my friend in Italy thinks he'll get it by February or sooner, He's been stuck there since March when it began, we haven't seen our families in almost a year-my music and virtual music lessons are keeping me from jumping out of the mothership, just barely, hope you all are doing better. Hoping to hear from InMusic soon. I've noticed-music suppliers-even the majors-don't seem to have their usual inventories online. Guitar Center-one of the few fairly decent brick and mortar music stores in the US-has declared bankruptcy. Tough times for many.
