Audio sync failed

Oh-oh....I just got this message after boot-up went through its usual routines. everything is working so far-but this message popped up twice-"audio sync failed, reboot Fusion". Guess I'll have to run a diagnostic, and test the audio sync feature. I do have 1-2 songs saved on hard drive that are combining audio and midi data tracks together, but Fusion is booting up to my last used program, not a song. Any ideas what is wrong, got me. I'm suspecting this PSU is telling its age, it is the older one with smaller heatsinks and despite the fan working and this being an 8HD, the PSU side of the fusion does get warmer than my other with the newer PSU.

Found this in my error codes list
0x01000018 Audio Sync Failed Please Reboot Fusion! Possible Cause - Poor electrical connections Possible Fix - Remove and Reconnect electrical connectors
Hope this helps

Thanks Jesse, it does help. Very odd, as all my connectors are secure-having disassembled this one recently too as the flickering screen was the small cable and connector apparently not conducting despite the connector and wires being tight. I guess after this many years, some of these ribbon cables, wires and connectors tend to oxidize slightly even if seemingly physicallysecure-and the problem has disappeared for now. Next time I have the Fusion disassembled, like a good mechanical-motorcycle, car that needs maintenance even if sitting idle-will need some De-Oxit spray on some of these connectors to keep the circuits working. And again, if the PSU is deteriorating, even slightly-could cause conductivity problems-isn't pushing the amps out as well as voltage, and even slight variations could cause a temporary OS fault. Guess i better get a spare PSU, regardless of cost.

Yeah electrical connectors oxidize and go bad over the years, a lot of the old brass connectors on my 1977 Honda CB550F have become brittle and break so I often eliminate the connectors and solder the wires together, not that easy to do when you are dealing with PCB's though
