You gotta try wireless midi, bro! -Not too many being made these days, however I seem to recall stumbling over a new one by M-Audio MidAir ($150, but only 30' range. -Good for on-stage only...) or Classic MidiWorks MidiJet Pro Wireless MIDI system (~$400 w/500' range). Old/pseudo-recent units were made by Midiman (I believe Nady bought this, as it piggy-backed over audio), Gambatte, Kenton, Limex, and of course Aquila. If you can find one somewhere, grab it! You'll NEVER be the same! (that's my Aquila wireless is hanging over the AX-7) D
