Looks like its just been taken out of the fridge . . . .

Guess you had to separate the top shell and remove the control panels?

Nice result though, particularly the lettering. A pro job or DIY?

Pro job. I took it apart and took it into a local sign shot that does vinyl car coatings. I pretty much had to talk them into doing it. I talked or sent messages to about 8 sign and paint shops and for a while it seemed like no one wanted to touch it.

The vinyl coating is a little too delicate, so, I'll probably get it redone in another year or so.

Maybe its the curved surface? But then again that should be no problem to an automotive shop . . . .

Perhaps see what's possible with powder-coating? - but I don't know how they'd do the lettering that way . . .

Another possibility is Silk-Screen printing.

The whole finish needs to be "One with the metal" - you know, all bonded in one - so the lettering is not "vulnerable".

You need a metal-finishing expert - to advise what's around . . .
