Korg Wavestation - Library for Alesis Fusion

Post by saturni »

Hi! This time i want to share with all of you my personal experiment multi-sampling some sounds from Korg Wavestation. There are 121 sounds, some classics, some weirds, some useful and others maybe useless, but all very capable for making some tunes. All sounds are for free. 721 MB of sounds.

In this library you may find some sounds edited, and others not edited (rather raw), so fell free to edit them (for time reasons i could not edit all).
(Sorry Jesse for all the delay :) )

Have any of you tried these? Just discovered-the samples are all there, the multi-samples and programs are all there, in the correct folders with the correct bank.txt files for each. Only one big problem...the programs-all of them-are not finding the multi-samples-something went wrong with these. I can manually edit each program one at a time-and plug in the correct multi-sample for each program, the few i have done this way sound fantastic-very much wavestation evolving textures for some of these. But each program needs to be edited, to manually load the correct multi-sample into each program-I see a pop-up screen stating "multisample not found" for each program. The multi-sample folder is perfectly intact and organized properly-there is a multi-sample for each program so far as I've found and the sample folder looks correctly laid out-wish I knew an easier way to correct this volume, there are alot of sounds to edit!

Saturni-is this the way you intended these to be? If so,I will go through each, re-assign the multisamples into the programs, and save and re-post the resulting new volume when I'm done. Very nice, definitely different programs than most others I have in my 8HD's. Multisamples so far came out perfectly. Always wanted to own the Wavestation-this is even better!

Just spent another 1-2 hours editing these, almost done with all 121. I've been using the keys plus the locate button which allows editing to be done much faster.

A few very unique programs here now that I've gotten through all of them. I will list a few that IMO are particularly complex and interesting. Quite a few need release envelopes edited as these settings on some are at zero-I've changed those release envelopes to roughly 500ms to 1-2 seconds for some depending on the individual program. All work well. Definitely worth keeping on my 8HD's. Also noticed something else I can't quite grasp yet-for every program there are 2 multisamples listed as number 1 and 2 but are almost identical-I think these are creating a stereo effect with some, or panning effect with others. Will have to listen more closely to determine.
