Alesis VI Keyboard aftertouch not working.

I press the keys and move them to test the aftertouch and it doesn't do anything. I tested it with virtual synths and on midi-ox, the latter showing no messages.

I used the alesis VI editor to map aftertouch messages to a knob, and it is recognized by midi-ox, outputting "channel aft".

There are no youtube videos of the VI series showing an example of the aftertouch use. So I don't know if mine is faulty or am I missing something to do.

It is an Alesis VI49. I contacted Alesis, waiting for them to reply.

Nevermind, turns out I had to press hard on the keys, it is my first aftertouch keyboard. Thank you.

Shouldn't have to press hard on the key's - are you talking about the piano keys or the programming buttons on the VI49?
