My studio

Post by Sean_Bernard »

Here's a couple of shots of my current studio setup. Not too bad for a uni student i reckon. Spent almost everything i make on it though. :D

Fusion, Micron, Nord Electro 2 and Roland Juno-D running into a Yamaha MG12 Mixer, plus some effects and processors, and all of that running into a Novation X-Station 25 as my sound card, into a MacBook, with Behringer Truth B2301A for recording and monitoring, and an Alto Elvis 15A PA Monitor and Behringer Ultratone K450FX keyboard amp.

Nice setup. What are you sequencing on? The Fusion or the computer? Are the drums in the background also yours?

Nice. When I was in school back in the 80's, all I had was my Rhodes 88 Suitcase.....

I'm not really a sequencing kind of guy. I write stuff for myself on the keys, do most of my composing inside Sibelius, mostly orchestral stuff. I mostly use the keyboards for church stuff (mostly practice), general screwing around with sounds, and for my band, Ambyr Sanns. We play a weird blend of prog symphonic avant-garde metal, which the Fusion is great for since i can splits, layers, and plenty of instrument changes on the one board.

The drums are our drummers spare kit, one of those travel half size jobs, which he leaves at my place since we practice there. I have absolutely no natural talent or coordination on the drums :D more of woodwind players as my second instrument

I owned X-Station25 until the other day, too.

As for X-Station25, the quality of the keyboard
excelled others and was splendid,
I regret that I have parted a little.

But VA of Fusion feels splendid than it.
