Hi
I am a new Fusion owner as of this week and had a question regarding the updating of the OS.
I have read in the manual and in various posts on the forum that a CF card is required, however I am sure (could be wrong) that I read you could also update the OS without using a flash card.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I cannot seem to find the post I think I read previously.
Many thanks

Yes, you can.
But you need the OS-File - 2,8 MB - only OS without Sounds.
Than,
- Copy OS from PC to Fusion HD
- global - system - update - scroll to HD instead of CF
- OK

Thanks mate
I take it that if I want to update the sounds as well, that I need to use the bigger file(image file 1.24 (58mb) on the Alesis site and that I need the CF?
Just got the board this week and still finding my way round it.

Oh,
forgot to ask, where would I get just the OS file?
Would it be best to just wit and do the whole operation in a one - i.e sounds and OS?

OK
You don't need the large file, because the last Sound-Rom update doing by 1.22. I send you a message.

Firmware Update
Replies: 31
Hi Guys, is the only way to update the firmware to use CF Card. If so i think I read that 4MB was max size we could use, is this still the case?
