I bought a Fusion 8HD off of Ebay (huge mistake) the idiot who shipped this didn't pack it at all, causing severe damage to the left and right sides of my Fusion. The three left-most lower keys are basically gone, lowest one is stuck and both the side panels are toast. Oddly enough, this boots up fine and plays & sounds fantastic (now I get why everyone loves these boards - WOW!) I can play this from my huge Black beast, the Korg T1 (no jokes please, its got a great keyboard/feel and still works like the day I got it) but I got this for my daughter and having 3 missing keys is a no-can-do, any suggestions as to how or where I can get this fixed? FYI, don't EVER bother with ebay in regards to large items, I've been on Ebay 11+ years and all they would do was give me $75 towards fixing this, unreal! UPS was not the least cooperative either (they trashed one of my Les Pauls and refused to pay for it even with Insurance) regards, Schnogun
Sorry to hear about your fusion - THAT IS HORRIFIC.
Your best option is to contact Alesis/Akai/Numark by phone and explain what has happened.
I'm guessing from your $ references that you are Stateside ?
I'm not sure of contact details over there, but the Alesis/Numark guy for europe is Rick Maia (rmaia AT numark DOT com). Email him and ask for a USA contact regarding the broken keys and end panels.
I think I read somewhere that the keybed is actually by Fatar - but I could be mistaken.
NOTE: If you look at the Alesis Fusion Parts List on this forum you will see that there are two different versions of the keyboard, probably both Fatar, with some minor changes, best to check with Alesis to see which one you have.
Let us know what you find out about the two different keyboards and wheter or not you can buy individual replacement keys.
