try performing a chkdsk on your hdd when you've connected the fusion to your pc

if it doesn't fix the possiblye present errors, backup your harddisk and format it, put back your contents

might also depend on the cable and the amount of devices you use through midi? In my case it's just my rm1x connected to the fusion.
Turning the K1-4 knobs in a mix can sometimes however mess up things very badly (with midi connected). It all goes haywaire.

try setting this:
global -> midi
midi clock transmit OFF
midi clock receive OFF

how can your fusion be on for 6 or 7 years neomad? It didn't exist before 2005.

I've been having some other issues now with midi, in mix mode, using the standard midi template and midi-in to midi-out of rm1x and vice versa. Local control off, rm1x set to monitor midi signals.
